Washed the 914 this am, took the top off, grabbed the camera and went for a ride.

Great roads and color around here!

The first pic is of a spot that always changes color early. This next pic is of a nearby overlook. Still lots of green in the hillsides. Not sure if the FFC will hit the peak color weekend, but the roads will definately be peak fun with all of the 914 enthusiasts cruising together.

Something else of interest in the area is a 73 signal orange 1.7 that is for sale. It is located less than a mile from the hotel in Columbus. The owner is asking $10,000. Although at one point a while back I am fairly certain that he offered it at $8000. The car is in very good, stock condition. I do not know many details on the car. It has been repainted- base/clear and it has Mahles. If anyone is interested, the FFC would be a great time to get a PPI.

The same guy has a 74 1.8 parts car. I think that it is fairly complete. I didn't get a chance to look at it -too many wasps last summer when I stopped to look at it. May be something good to look at for those that are attending and looking for parts.

So Friday do we bring tools? Or would a rake be more appropriate. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I couldn't resist with the sign -lol. I drive my pick up throught there at 55+. I figure a good 914 could take it at 85.

Soooo many leaves! It is almost unbelievable how many leaves can come out of a hickory tree.

If you need parts and are attending on Friday-

I have alot of parts that you can pick through. Not much in the way of body sheet metal except for some decent hood lids. I've got 6 engines from completely assembled to completely disassembled. Some side shift and tail shift trannys. Targa tops, a front bumper for 73 or 74. Seats, gauges, switches, etc.... i have small parts from 5 or 6 cars that I have parted out over the past few years. Lots of stuff!!!

Also, the 72 that I'll be driving fingers crossed) to the event will become another parts car shortly after the event. Some of the parts from this one I will need for my 73 but alot of the parts will be available.
