I’m looking for suggestions and ideas for good items to keep in my 914, Sort of the ultimate supplement to the Factory Tool kit. This list could include anything from glass cleaning wipes to a spare jack that won’t cause spikes in blood pressure, spare fuses, extra cables? Etc. Someone one may have already put a list like this together or a similar topic may already exist on this site. I searched but didn’t find anything like it. If I missed it please point me in the right direction. As always I look forward to the “Worlds” unlimited knowledge. Just wandering what has proved useful to you.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Plus jack and at least one jack stand. Blue tarp to work under car if parked in the dirt so you don't get your "T" shirt dirty. Emergency flares and of course cell phone and AAA membership. |

The #1 item I keep in the car is zip ties of assorted sizes. Also, glass wipes since my windshield washer isn't functional.
Although I did so in my own driveway (not a roadside), I once completed my throttle linkage with zip ties to last the ~5 mile drive to the mechanic. |

I second the throttle and clutch cables, you may not need them, but one of your buddies may! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t1.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t2.gif)

If you don't want to mess with a spare tire or need the trunk space carry a small 12V air pump and a Plug Kit with the glue, plugs and the insert tool. Fix flats with wheel still on car jacked up.
