Hi I would also be interested in a flawed one (my car has plenty of flaws and a few more wouldn't bother me). THANKS |

Thanks for your patience. I had the choice of buffing these all day or finishing up the alternator wiring harnesses, and getting a good chunk of the AP consul and boxes done.
I will have time tomorrow |

Got some progress on testing the mold. The guys were able to pull a part in clear. We tried some "cell cast" material that we found out was Chinese. It didn't form the same as the known material we had. Apparently, it's "somehow" different. When we do production we may have to do a special order to a US manufacturer to get these right
We also have to make some changes to the fiberglass to make it a more usable piece. These we plan to have production going in March. I'd love to say earlier, but anything is possible. We have some stock of the old fiberglass but have a meeting with a potential vendor for helping us improve these and maybe do a few other fiberglass parts. Attached image(s) |

I just learned of this new top but I don't know anything about them.
Care to educate a newbie? What are the benefits? |

I just learned of this new top but I don't know anything about them. Care to educate a newbie? What are the benefits? Well if you are from Oregon where a lot of sunshine is liquid it's often the only way to feel you have the top off. There was a Saratoga top that was made in the 70s-80s and it was poorly fitted I decided to make this using a fiberglass structure to be able to use factory seals and hardware. Making it seal about as well as the factory roof. Clear is an option. going to start fixtures Monday |

Maybe by March I can replace the money I had set aside for this after the thread started in 2012. Unemployment in 2014 ate that and a whole lot more, though...
Since materials are up in the air, I assume we'll have to wait on the color/tint options until after that's settled? |

You are kind of on it. I'll be contacting all on thread as soon as I'm comfortable with production. As far as color. We think smoke will be standard, but will be able to do some color options. Cost for options will obviously be an added cost, we will figure that out once we know what you want. So if you want a green one let me know.
We can check that out. |

The new ones will be a similar build, but we are making improvements to make the fit / finish better as well as adding in some new features I'll elaborate more on once we've been able to test.
