I like The SMOG solution for a cup holder.

One roll of duct-tape resting on the floor, find a coffee cup that fits in the center of it. $5 dollars to find a cup that fits center hole and always nice to have a roll of tape in the car. WIN/WIN

Tape won't slide around on its side.

this is an american issue. No one in Europe will need a cup holder. You need more twisted roads... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I decided to go with the fold down style on the side of my center console and sacrifice passenger footroom. I relocated the fire extinguisher to the front right long to accomodate.

I guess I will put on hold my plans to fabricate an armrest for now as I would like deeper seats for better support for possible auto x-ing etc.
