Looks like my shop I just sandblasted everything from my car nuts bolts, hardware, latches etc and gave them to the platers. They charge about a buck a pound.. or a case of beer if you know them well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Indeed. I never thought I wold say this, but I really could have used a meth head that night (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

That was nuts, bolts, latches for 3 cars. Still have another batch or two for backing plates, fuel rails, and some of the parts that didn't come out well the first go-round due to rust pitting. Good thing I hoarded (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) " lovingly preserved " all that shit over the years from all the cars I parted (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I'm pretty good at labeling and bagging parts, wish I had spent more time labeling wires/connectors. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Thanks for the bump....I miss my car. I am hoping to see major progress pics soon as Scotty promised me all metal and body work finished, blocked and primed by June. I can't wait to see the pics!

Hi Bill - I have not spoken with Scott for a couple months. He assured me that come June my car would be all metal work completed and blocked and primed, ready for paint. I am out of the country until Monday, but plan on speaking with Scott shortly thereafter. I am seriously hoping for some terrific new. Thanks for checking in with me and my car.

Hmmmm.... Saint Cairo.... has a nice ring to it. I could use my real name, Michael, but I think we may have a Saint Michael already (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) But, thanks for checking on my build.

OK - So this will mark the end of this thread. I picked my Six up along with almost all of my parts on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from Scotty's shop. I have to do a full inventory and provide Scotty the list of missing items, (should not be a lot) and he will locate and ship those.

So, please keep your eyes open for the new thread, CAIRO's SIX, Part Two, The Road to Completion. PS - Here is the new thread: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=313869

Thanks for tuning in and have a great day.
