very nice...I wish I still lived where it didn't rain. I have had my 914 for 38 years and it was modified for about 37 of those years. Who keeps a car completely stock? Probably those that like to look at them more than drive them.

To all the purists, who want to nitpick my car, and point out what isn't stock, and what isn't supposed to be this way or that. To all the people who want to point out that 70/4's didn't come with 150mph speedo's. To the people who critisize me for using a mini cooper color on MY car. To the people who think customizing a car means putting a CD player in it and replacing a rusty muffler... Ya you know who you are.

Mine is still cooler....

End of rant.....

When I put a Porsche badge on my teener many moons ago it was no longer cherry. But I don't care, it is my teener and I love it just like we all love our teeners! I really like your wheels too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) But you should consider painting the rockers to match the body. I never liked how the 916 bumpers don't have the black across the bottom to match the rockers. I contemplated painting the side/bottom of my 916 front end black to carry the sight line across.

Yeah, given this summers climate, I would think we'd ALL wish we lived in a place that DID rain. EVERYWHERE needs it.

As for the car, Crashdown, are you having fun? Do YOU like your car? If so why even justify anyone else's opinion by this thread... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) F'em!

WAIT... I think you secretly like the attention (And given your nice car, I think you deserve it) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

I guess there will always be people who take things out of context. 'Blank canvas' were the words to focus on. Build your car (or anything else) the way you see fit.

But then again, the old adage - "if I have to explain ... " comes into play (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Factory stock, neither makes a lot of power.
They both make a lot of noise.
They both mark their territory.
Chicks dig them both.

Nope, no comparisons there.

I left my car all stock since I can't deal with crazy customizers like you!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)

Just kidding! Your car is awesome. If I had to nit pick it, your carbon fiber wrap on the headlight eyebrow is not patterned matched to the rest.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/hide.gif)

Now lets nit pick mine...

7 shades of white
bondo lifting on flares
misc holes filled with bondo
non stock headlights
non stock motor
air dam rubber cracking
air dam
ricer wing
Herbie graphics
roll cage
cable shift
NACA ducts
hole in bumper
radiator
trailer hitch
modified engine lid
944 mirrors
doors cracked under the 944 mirrors
transmission painter orange
speaker holes in doors
930 brakes

I can go on and on...

Fuch the haters! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif)

If you must nitpick the stripe then get it right. The Negative stripes didn't exist in 1970.

QUOTE(messix @ Sep 4 2012, 11:08 PM) *

you put the wrong stripe on it dumb ass!

the neg stripe would be the correct one in that application....

People who nit pic, criticize, or otherwise deride tend to suffer from poor self-esteem. Putting others down makes them feel superior and compensates for their poor self image, insecurities, etc. The next time you receive uninvited criticism, remember where it is coming from and for what reason.
