I voted today and really enjoyed it despite the 1 hour wait...I only hope we make the right choice [which I will not reveal since I really enjoy this group].
It was democracy at it's best (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

I voted too ... I enjoy this group too ... but I made my choice.
After all, that IS what democracy is all about, right? |

I voted for who i want, you can do the same, none of my business.
but PLEASE take a few minutes to look at your sample ballot before you go! i get so pissed at morons who show up at the polling place and have absolutely no clue what is on the ballot. These "people" spend 15 minutes reading every detail trying to make up thier minds. That is why the lines are long. If they got in and voted without having to read everything there wouldn't be any lines. it took me 30 freeking seconds to vote but 1o minutes to wait in line while these morons pondered the decisions they had months to decide. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! |

QUOTE(Sammy @ Nov 2 2004, 07:03 PM) PLEASE take a few minutes to look at your sample ballot before you go! i get so pissed at morons who show up at the polling place and have absolutely no clue what is on the ballot. These "people" spend 15 minutes reading every detail trying to make up thier minds. That is why the lines are long. I'm not worried so much about the lines. I want them to read the sample ballot and have THOUGHT ABOUT IT and DECIDED based upon something other than how the name sounds. Hopefully 2000 woke some people up and made them decide to get involved. I told my kids last night that it was our responsibility to educate ourselves as to the candidates positions and the possible ramifications of them being in office and vote the way we feel would best serve our country. Sometimes that may even not be the best choice for us as an individual. Ahem....steps off soapbox.... BTW, I voted today. I made my choice. Even if he loses, my vote mattered. -Matt |

In AL we had an Amendment to the state constitution that went like this:
QUOTE Proposed Statewide Amendment No. 4 Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide for the promotion of shrimp and seafood. (Proposed by Act 2004-258) Why in the hell would you vote to have this put in the state Constitution???? Anyway some little bimbo in my Finance class said " It was cute so I voted for it." How stupid can you get? I think you should have to have an IQ test or intelligence test to vote and women should not vote. (Doning Nomex, Bring IT!!!!)
