If you look on Jeff Bowlsby's Classic 914 site, he has a page that shows all the different models of 914 produced through the years:

Look closely at the 1973 model year, you'll see that there were 2-liter models produced that did not come standard with the Appearance & Performance Groups.

I think the yellow car is one of the Sport Group models, produced late in the '73 model year.

Not sure what to say, the 79 year old guy i purchsed from stated it was just as he had it delivered, so with that i guess he wanted the engine with out the appearance upgrade i suppose.



My vin is in the last 250 made that model year.
