I understand that the 914-6 and 4 cylinders from later years came with 19mm master brake cylinders. For 4-bangers, what year did this start? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

AFAIK 4 cylinder cars always had 17mm as stock. Many of us have added 19mm cylinders.
My 76 had a 17 until I changed it.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I prefer the 17mm unit BTW. A lot of peeps like the firmer pedal of the 19mm.

I paid extra for a 17 over a 19. The 19 has better pedal feel but less pedal pressure to the calipers. I wanted max stopping power.
