Nice work Elliot...Now I see what Roger Sheridan was explaining to me when we picked up
our widebody kit from him. Since he was trying to get to work that morning, some of his info was
blurred. Your pics clarify a lot of his info....you should do a diy sheet for Roger!
I plan to leave about a 2" edge of sheet metal all around the cutout ,then final trim into the dzus fastener area. Already cutout most of the rear trunk floor, for the massive inverted gt2 trans.
I guess you get used to the sadness of cutting into the 914...knowing that it will be one trick hot rod in the end (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

As it turns out, the studs in the spacer are pressed in to at least one inch of steel and just aren't coming out. At least not with the tools I have. Looks like I'll be leaving them the way they are till I get some better spacers.

I had a Sheridan body on the Yellow Zonker. Here are some pics of that installation. I have pictures of the front with the body on and off. I'll post them if it will help you.
Cheers, Elliot

Almost done. Had alignment done and new master cylinder as well. Installed the panel covering the master cylinder and now the brake lights come on when the key is on. Back up on the lift tomorrow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Only thing after that is get it on the road and bed in the new brakes.

Sounds like the lever on the switch on the pedal cluster is on the wrong side of the washer on the brake pushrod. You might not have to put it on the lift to fix this...

The yellow car was done by someone else. I tried painting the black one myself but I got some bad paint from the paint store. It was so bad even the body shop couldn't make it work. They replaced the paint for me and I had the body shop go ahead and shoot it for me. All I had painted was the four fenders and both hoods which all are fiberglass. The fitment of the fiberglass parts wasn't the best and I had to "massage" it quite a bit to get it to fit. Sheridan is of better quality. Also more expensive. Thanks Andy. I asked QRS if they had one and I was told they didn't make them because the GT cars didn't have them. If you still have, it next time I'm down your way, I'll see if it will work. I also bought a $20 911 banana muffler at Parts Heaven and will try to modify it to work on my car. I have Euro Headers and don't like the muffler AT ALL. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

Elliot, I have a gt style rear valance that we produce here at MSDS.
There is one with a small bit of massaging needed, but still a good useable part.
You can have it ,but pick up here in Glendale when you are near L.A.

You were very close Dave. The washer was in the right place but the lever had to be bent just a bit to make contact. Works properly now. Thanks.
