Mt. Home is about 50 miles East of Boise on I-84. Halfway between Boise and Twin Falls. There's a great Air Force Base here too. I'm thinking of asking the base commander if he will let me set up an auto-x course on the runway on weekends. I hear they do it at Kadena AB, Japan all the time.

Mt. Home is where you stop for gas and a leak after 4 hours non-stop through bOregon. It is the gateway to the great high-desert Autobaun (sp?) which is the 'less traveled route' across central Idaho through the famous "Craters of the Moon", Arco, Howe, across the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory reservation (nuclear test facility way way way out in the desert), past Sage Junction and right up to the foothills of the Rockies all in just a few hours. You will see deer, coyote, eagles, prarie falcons, red tailed hawks, pheasant, sage grouse, sandhill crane, fox, etc, and on the right day you can see several thousand antelope at once.

Oh, the short answer is it's about 40miles South of Boise.

Need to revive this thread, Party is on for Saturday, 10-2. We have a couple of good suggestions for entertainment: Hit golf balls into the river (IMG:style_emoticons/default/golfer.gif) (need balls), or shoot clay pigeons from the dock with shotguns. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif) Both sound great to me. Might be hard to pull both off, though. Wives, SO's, girlfriends, Mistresses are welcome. Pamela will have plenty of good chow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) .

PM'd everyone with directions to the house. Anyone else, I forgot? Just ask.

How's about a head count? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party.gif)

How is that?? I was 3 JP was 4 You are 1 and Bruce is 2.
It might be safe if I were to meet Bruce and JP at the 10th street exit and we carvaned down from there, it is not as straight forward as someone who lives in the area thinks.
Once you have been there then you could easily drive back again on your own, except for...well you know who you are. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

[SIZE=14][COLOR=red]HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM. [SIZE=1]

As some of you know, my son is playing in the state football playoffs making a run at the state championship. I just received word that the game is on Saturday at 1:00, not at 3:00 as was last weekend. So........Unless we back the meeting up to say 3:30P, or make it an earlier morning (either is good with me), I'll have to bail. Shit, I hate boging, especially with people I sort of know, Bad impression.

What do you guys think?

So you have one guy whack the ball when the shooter yells "Pull!". The ball sails across the water and the shooter tries to hit it on the fly. It could work.

First, no complaints if we do a raincheck. Likely only one time ever for a son in the HS football playoffs. You can find 914 guys on every corner.

If you decide to go ahead, I suggest 9 or 10am until noon or whenever you need to leave. We can adjourn to Camp 914 after.

I hope DD is planning to join us since he started all this!
