This cartoon Guy 'Earls Supply has been my go to store for all Things a/n fittings, hose, assembly tools...since my first 2.7L six conversion in 1978. They* were on Hawthorne Blvd/ in Lawndale CA.
They have migrated further south on Hawthorne Bl. a few clicks' now in Torrance and known as

*Originally Earl's Lawndale (yes Earl is the founder) would make your ss lines while you wait, or travel to your shop, boat dock, driveway with custom installs by appointment. Or you could shop across the street at Earls aircraft surplus (his original storefront) and grab 'Take-off ss lines which his crew would purchase at Government Military auctions...good old days ¡

There are lots of these 'Looks Similar' ss braided hose online, best to source USA mfg Q'c (burst rate etc.) on your pricey Porsche 914 builds .
The trade-name 'Earl's now owned by Holley>>which is known to source lots of merch from World mfgs, so I prefer to buy from AN (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif)
I might have earned the 'Wearing of the Earl's yellow shop apron after all these loyal decades ¡

Dyme made a pretty cool system for being able to create custom lines you may like dymepsi.com
They also created quick releases that you can use for lines or that oil breather so you can pop on a catch can if you need to.

Yes...nice product from Dyme ! My DIY lines get taken over to VF Sales nearby in No. Hollywood for pressure testing>> for extra QC, and they will make any adjustment if needed.
The aluminum Catch/ breather tank on this build can stay put with all lines attached...Allen-cap drain bolt below + easy access.

Small S+B breather on the catch-can vent line. I can always switch out this breather for an old school plastic catch tank, if required by race tech.

Marty, have you taken the top off of the breather/catch can? Reason I ask is because that Aviaid breather tank looks EXACTLY like the Peterson breather tank and the Peterson is designed to vent to the atmosphere through some foam under the lid.

@NorCalScott I've been to the Aviaid hQ many times as they are a local to me in Canoga Park. Their facility is just a few techs, QC, shipping and machine shop; but their aluminum tanks, cans, castings, or billet items are made elsewhere.
As far as the process of Deep drawn aluminum mfg. they could very well contract with the same factory for the tanks as Petersen. Both of these USA brands are good, there is another high quality domestic mfg. Armstrong -A.R.E.
I have had the top off the catch/ breather tank and yes on the nylon foam, spring loaded cap, some baffles, #12 a/n connections, drain bolt. Not much but a mylar logo= any brand Co.
Final breather is this small S+B unit tucked inside the rear quarter.

Ahh, ok I see, I definitely hadn't thought about the vapor causing a mess. Does that mean you're going to close off the top of the Aviaid breather tank to prevent vapors from escaping? Wouldn't a traditional non-vented catch can work better in this scenario?

Just going to leave as is and monitor the catch can.The engine is new money and should not create much oil residue via blowby, as they didn't build it with loose ring tolerances.
I can always put an old school Porsche Motorsports (style) plastic catch can in place of aluminum.

While in the sheet metal cabinet, ran into an n/o/s Sachs shock absorber for a K3 935 ...quite the misplaced item in the shop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

On the dull side of the T321 SS 18ga sheet metal, I custom cut pieces off of a new welders shop-apron.
Place down on the metal with dabs of high temp silicon, 24 hour pressure with some 'Heavy metal (or cinder block) to bond it. Reflective shiny side of SS plate faces the header .

Larger SS heat shield for the Daley dry sump oil-pump/ and oil lines protection from exhaust header heat. Next step>>apply the protective heat 'Cloth.

We are using a 914 OE rubber snorkle at the original (lower shelf) location, and fabricated this SS hold -down bracket. The Daley oil pump has a small pulley that seemed a bit too close to the snorkle so this keeps it snugged down perfectly.
