If you bring it to Milton one Sunday this summer, please don't park it next to mine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I knew of this cruise when it was at Canadian Tire, but if Im not mistaken it has moved right? Where is it now?

If you're real careful I bet 5 tranny's would fit a 914, you'd be amazed how much stuff a 914 will hold.

Ya I guess I could fit a few, but then I'd have to be extra careful in not scratching paint, and wrapping them all up. Unless someone wants to bring them all there for me.

It OK...besides Hyde would drool all over the poor thing.
Every time he comes he I wiping the drool marks off my 914.

Did some work on my car last night.

Im trying to get the interior all installed. I have the speedy auto glass coming to install front and rear glass on saturday and then I will install the rebuilt transmission that I will be completing this weekend at the transmission clinic. I think that my input shaft seal is leaking. So the engine and tranny will come out again, and at that point I will also install sound deadening in the engine bay I got from Mikey914.

Here is the sound deadening in the interior. This stuff was left over from a job we did at work. There was another shop that made the trim die for the 2013 passat trunk interior panel. Now we have a huge roll of this stuff and I dont know what to do with it all.

I started by spraying the whole interior firewall with a spray adhesive from wurth. I only sprayed the bottom portion of the sound deadening so it was easier to put in place. Then I worked my way up until it was all in place and then trimmed to fit. I konw its not the best trim job, but the backpad will cover it still.

I also managed to install a set of fog light grilles from Mikey914

I have made some good progress since I last updated this thread. I never intended to do a build thread because I knew it was going to take a long while, but now I am nearing the end, so here are a bunch of photos of the finished product.

Here is the car right after the windshield install

Here is the BMW mirror upgrade. Im 5'11" and its at the perfect height

My momo steering wheel

After a well deserved bath...

These wheels were only on the car for the inspection, I now have 7" up front and 8" deep dish on the back.

Your attention to detail is fantastic. Nice to see a four cylinder car with flares and 5 lug Fuchs. Just curious why you decided not to convert it to a Six? Love the color and overall look!

OK, I drove the 914 to work today! So here are some more photos of the mirrors and the whole car.

BTW, thanks for all the compliments. I went the 4 cylinder route because this was my first 914 I built. I was a novice for sure and I didn't want to take on too much that I couldn't handle. Not to say that I am an expert now, far from it, but I think a 6 will be in its future. I have a 2L, 2.2L and a 2.7L here at the shop just waiting to be refreshed.

Hey everyone,

I just got married on Aug 31 and was on my honeymoon till the 15th. We had a great photographer and I'm pretty happy with the results.

I started working on my 914 the same year that my wife and I had met, so I think it was very fitting that we use my car as the getaway. At times I didnt think that I would have it ready for the wedding, but I pulled it off with lots of help from family and friends, not to mention loads of help from the 914world.

The wedding was in my wifes hometown, Thunder Bay Ontario 18 hours in away from where we live now. So my dad trailered my car and his speedster, which he had just finished too after an 8 year restoration all the way there.

Glad to see the speedster also got done in time for the big day. Wasn't there a wager between you and your dad as to which car would be done first ??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

And where did the slicks go ??

Love the " NO COPY " plates..
