Is it just me or do these flares look extra wide for a factory M471 option?
Neat car non the less ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/3821081278.html Attached image(s) |

No way on the M471...the flares are also not symmetrical like they should be. But it IS AWESOME thought ain't it?
The VIN is VERY low...thanks to Gustl and other experts we know they were not built in perfect sequential order but still...that's an early one! |

Nice but the M-471? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) Fares are wrong, wrong, wrong. Only possibility is one of the two owners modified the original flairs. But the vin also doesn't seem to be in the range.

Interesting to watch that as older Porsches (even the lowly 914) rise in value, provenance and pedigree start playing a huge role in actual price/desireability.

When you can't spell the name of the town your business is in and you spend $5000 to rebuild two Webers, eyebrows will raised. Still a great looking car. Nothing wrong with some nice hips. Still a 2 litre ? Love to do a walk around of this one. Love to see what the factory scribbled on the COA |

#36 is not on the GT List and M-471 was not available til 71 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) btw - here are some excerpts from a 12-2009 sales ad - make your own mind on the Quality of the current description: The tire flares are non-standard additions but the car is otherwise original, including the engine, which makes it a collectors item. We are only the third owner. Location: SLC, UT, United States The odometer isn't working (stopped at 67,704). |

If its a 70 shouldn't it have a central vent on the dash (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
or was that only on the 4cyl (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/images.craigslist.org-10399-1369268342.1.jpg) |

Webers Cost about $1400 to $2000 for a ReBuild by the Best in the Business, though I've seen companies like MotorScheister get more to Fuch things up.
My PMO 46s were $3,000 New |
