Seller claims it is a real M471 car.

No way on the M471...the flares are also not symmetrical like they should be. But it IS AWESOME thought ain't it?

The VIN is VERY low...thanks to Gustl and other experts we know they were not built in perfect sequential order but still...that's an early one!

Nice but the M-471? Fares are wrong, wrong, wrong. Only possibility is one of the two owners modified the original flairs. But the vin also doesn't seem to be in the range.

Interesting to watch that as older Porsches (even the lowly 914) rise in value, provenance and pedigree start playing a huge role in actual price/desireability.

When you can't spell the name of the town your business is in and you spend $5000 to rebuild two Webers, eyebrows will raised.
Still a great looking car. Nothing wrong with some nice hips. Still a 2 litre ?

Webers Cost about $1400 to $2000 for a ReBuild by the Best in the Business, though I've seen companies like MotorScheister get more to Fuch things up.

My PMO 46s were $3,000 New

i was just quoted 3K for rebuild :maybe E coast is cheaper

The Best Guy if he is still doing it, is on the West Coast - Harry Bieker. I will have to dig out his Number

please do ...I was told mine are in good shape and really dont need anything but a good cleaning and i agreed after i heard 3K
