H2s are lame. Yuppy tanks they are, im tired of seeing stupid white men and women running around in the tri valley with 18-19" rims thinking theyre cool while unable to keep to their own damn lane. Look H2s are overpriced gm crap. They have destroyed the integrity of the hummer brand. My more than 10 year old FORD BRONCO with a 5 liter motor smoked that one of those POS's twice off the line. So much for the 6.0l motor and its "amazing torque". And i wont look like a yuppy asshole towing a trailer behind my truck either. SUVs are for mormon families and the like. I bought a TRUCK with a short wheelbase and 2 doors, the bronco came about before anyone had even coined the term 'SUV', and ill be doing whatever i can to distance my vehicle from the term as most of what ive seen called SUVs in the last few years are trash, M320s, FX45s, h2s, mercedes G-box-things, escalades, yukons, tahoes, i hate em all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif)

who let another 14 year old on here??

This may or may not be of interest to you guys, found using Google:

Auto dealerships across the country are cashing in on a federal economic stimulus package signed into law by President Bush in late May, 2003. It contains what seems like a gift from Uncle Sam too good to be true. The $330 billion tax-cut plan allows small-business owners and the self-employed to write off the entire cost of vehicles that weigh 6,000 pounds or more.

That means doctors, lawyers and other self-employed professionals can buy a $75,000 Hummer H2, for example, and write off the purchase price as a business expense.

The Bush tax package raised the deduction for business equipment from $25,000 to $100,000. The tax cut was originally intended to help farmers and ranchers buy pickup trucks. But the evolution of SUVs, considered not cars but "light trucks," opened the way for other business owners to claim the deduction.

My wife and I have a Cherokee classic, one of the last before the Liberty came out. Love it, tough as nails straight 6, 20mpg. Just one tough rig and not too big for her to drive around. This Jeep however was my second choice family SUV. I couldn't quite convince the wife to pick up one of these babies!

i can't believe people pay that much for a vehicle that doesn't even have an independent rear suspension. h2 has nothing in common with a real hummer.

Qarl,
Don't you own your own business? Get a surburban or your h2 and write off the 50 grand it costs this year. The suv exemption for s- corps ends this year. If you want the ultimate suv get this one.

Dan those Unimogs are awsome, had a friend that had one in Costa Rica. Lot's of rivers to cross in the rainy season. That thing could go anywhere.

As far as the H2 or any other LARGE SUV goes I just have one real bitch, just because you have a large car that does not give you the right to take up more than one parking place. Learn how to drive it and park it correctly and I have no problem.

Oh and by the way for all the rover bashers out there I have a '94 Land Rover Discovery that has 175,000 miles and going like a champ. Yes the 3.9 is not that fast but damn this thing will go anywhere, and I love pulling people out of the ditch in the winter.

I think I need a hummer too. No not the kind with four wheels. 9" I think somebody is bragging

my uncle has a surplus h1 humvee... 30k out the door... 50 caliber not included

Now that's more like it!

Diesel?

The environmentalists would shut up if we drove biodiesel Hummers....maybe (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

But I guess that would go against the typical (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif) statement of the truck's (11 MPG) existence. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif)

I honestly think the H2 is the biggest piece of $&^%$&^, waste of space, expression of American greed ever created.

and I've had a bunch of SUV's, so its not one of those arguments. here's the thing,

-its got no space inside considering its size outside (unless you get the 2k outside spare tire option! which 99% of owners couldnt use because, guess how much that tire weighs... (especally the bling blingers with the 22s)

-it's not 1/2 the off road machine people think it is because, it's too big, has too little app angle, etc etc....

-it's about 10k over priced (which is good for GM but bad for anyone who buys one)

-its cheap as hell inside-but yet costs 55-65k!

-it gets extremely pook MPG-which then negatively impacts is one positive which is solid towing platform...

If you want a big suv-Get a suburban- it's cheaper, nicer, holds more, costs less, tows just as well, gets better mpg, and generally is better in all ways! and I think they look cool as well

If you want an off road vehicle, get a Jeep, a landrover, or a used H1

If you want to make GM rich (which is fine with me!) get an H2-and then trade it in in 3 months when you find out what a piece of shit it is.

Have you seen the FUH2.com website? Pretty funny, 145 pages of people flipping-off Hummers. Seems like a waste of web space.

looked at a couple of those pictures....dumbass people...either pissed that they cannot afford one or are too stupid to know how to drive

i'm sure half of them drool over such "practical" cars such a Carrera GT or Lambo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

only thing I've got to say about Hummers is this:

A true buddy is one that goes downtown and gets 2 hummers and brings 1 back to you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif)

Thats real 4wd and aircooled, and simple!

One of my neighbors imports them and sells them for 10K ready to go...

I have seen one put both a new H2 Hummer as well as the old version in their place, then had to pull them out!!

I am working a trade for one of them now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif)
