I bought a bunch of tools at an auction sale a couple of months ago. Some of the stuff I don't know exactly what it's for, but I think it's mostly aircooled bug factory transmission tools.

Some I do know and now use...the silver thing is a stand for a T4 head, stands the guide straight up and down.
The green unit is a factory T1 valve spring compressor and behind that is a factory valve seat cutter set.

The tool top/left is the factory tool for measuring the spacer between 3rd and 4th gear.
The silver tool may be for a Porsche. Tool # P208
The tool with the wing nut is an ATE unit part # 2314-1300 2
I think the big one top/right is for putting a dial indicator on the gear stack.

I have this link, but most of the numbers don’t match up and this doesn’t tell me much anyways.

Mark
Send me a list of any numbers on the tools. I'll go through the shop manuals and ID the tools as best I can.

The one on the left is the above tool, it's about a foot long with a 3/8 drive. Can't read the part #

Center is a new one for pressure or vacuum testing something, part # T3506

Pretty sure the one on the right is for pressing the timing gear on a T4 crank. Again part 3 hard to read...# 40-205??

That 'looks' more like the tool for the front strut shock nut due to its length. The ball joint tool is similar, but rather short. It looks to be missing two teeth. BTW, I need to get such a nut off of a strut very soon now. I was just about to make my own tool up.

Close Dave but no cigar....it's a bit smaller, maybe it's for a super beetle...damn.

BTW it only had two teeth, I don't think the tool has ever been used, no marks on the teeth at all.

Thanks for the links Dave, they helped, but the last one is just the std. bug tools that you can get today from any bug shop, including me.
