Had some time today and built the next 10 circuit boards. I bought some strip lighting to play with, but I would really like a couple boards to try too. My strip lighting is driven by a non remote, but I think I can make it work. Currently I have five meters of changing color led s keeping my wife awake (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) Can you sell me a couple boards? |

Finals are done, and the semester is over with! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Now that I have some down time, I had a chance to build some more controllers. Being that I'm in the Christmas spirit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/santa_smiley.gif) I decided to drop the prices for a winter sale. 100 dollars for the controller and 100 dollars labor. Supplies are limited so first come first serve. |

Also, I'm willing to upgrade your tachometer with a modern motor as an extra service or install my RGB LED's into you center console gauges.

Hey guys, I need to update a small technical problem with the LED's that I spec'd out. The RGB's green led is way brighter than the the red and blue led. This is what you get when choosing Chinese products!
The fix, add a 1 watt 100 ohm resistor at the green connector in series to the green wire. This will tone down the green and make all 3 colors more balanced. Some may have noticed that my custom controller flips to a greenish yellow color at 4k then to red at 5k rpm. This 100 ohm resistor will rectify the problem and make the greenish yellow to a more pronounced yellow. |

Free bump for a great product and awesome guy. I FINALLY got around to displaying Tim's awesome work where it is needed most... on the track! I still need to take pictures so you can see everything more clearly, but this is a good example of how the gauges work.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlTXGqoECuM You'll notice at around the 0:26 mark how the gauges switch from blue to red as I approach redline. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to test this motor before the race, and it turns out the powerband really stops right before the 5K shift-light point, so for the most part the guages really didn't change color much. Tim can change that point for you before you order the gauges though so eventually I'll have to have him knock it back a few hundred RPMS. Either way, a great product and it was nice being able to see the gauges at night in some of the darkest places around Sebring. Thanks Tim! |

Those look great! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Maybe Tim can adjust them to keep those other cars from passing you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

Ouch. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pinch.gif)
Tim's lights have saved me from a few nighttime speeding tickets. I already have to convert mph to kph while I'm driving. The well lit dash lets me see exactly what I am doing. And it powers the solar calculator nicely. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Those look great! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Maybe Tim can adjust them to keep those other cars from passing you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) Maybe on the next board revision, we can incorporate a built in EMP generator to target those passing cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) George, adjusting these controllers is very straight forward. On yours, we just have the red staging on at 5k rpm, if I remember correctly. Of course you can send me the controller for adjustment, but I will also show you in case you want to tackle it yourself. The setting for the yellow lights is not used in your application, so the adjusting screw on the potentiometer is set fully clockwise (yellow lights never come on when the pot is maxed out in turns clockwise). The cylinder select switch is already set for a 4 cylinder, so no need to touch that switch either. The adjustment that you are after is the left potentiometer. When looking at it, if you turn the adjustment counter clockwise, this will lower the threshold when the red lights come on. Since you don't have a frequency generator, just turn the pot a quarter turn then test drive your car. It's trial and error, so keep turning the pot 1/4 turns till you find the desired RPM point. It's nice to see my tach conversion work in action, is the tach bounce eliminated? |

Timmothy is still around. He’s super busy but if he can make you a set of gauges, it’s worth the wait.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) The guy is an electrical genius and a perfectionist. He took my old dusty gauges and made them purty, and I didn't even ask him to. Thanks again Tim.

The guy is a dirt bag and does mediocre work. Ok that was funny! This guy is so far beyond honorable his humor speaks volumes. I have told Tim before that every time I turn on the lights in my car I say a thank you to him. I have no financial interest in Tim’s success or failure. But if you want top of the line stuff. He is your guy. |
