Fantastic job. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Especially cutting the trans looks interesting. Could you Rick show closer what kind of tool did you use to cut the trans ??

it's kind of scary, just a carbide tipped disc on a shaft hanging off the end of a router. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)

Thanks Rick. You are right, scary looking tool, but makes a good job at least in your hands.

The adaptor looks fantastic (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)

This is what I am still working on. It is a solid 1.5 inch bar stock that I have drilled up for thr proper mount bolt spacing from the front fitting bolt. what I plan to do is weld a plate in to reinforce the mount making it a 3 sided box and use this for the mount instead of the rubber mount.

I have been a slacker and not done much as of late. I did get the cam towers powder coated wrinkle red and buffed the names back out though.

It's so cool when you look at the cut pattern through the green casting resin. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/alien.gif) It's hard to see in a photo. I had a real problem sending that one out. I was tempted to pull my transaxle and ship mine to you. (Hey, it was a weak moment (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) ) I'm having that done to mine when do the over haul. I got off my dead rear and went out to work on fitting the trans to the adapter that Rick made for me. I had been having trouble getting them to fit flush. I got a 1/4" plate AL and counter bored a 3/4" hole in the center with the help of Cam.

Once that was done and it fit on the input shaft we put some snading discs on the plate and stood the whole mess up. We spun the trans a couple of times to see if it would work. It did great so we spun it about 30 times and checked it to the adpt. plate. NO gaps and a nice flush fit. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

For those of you confused about the sanding fixture. Larry and I met up in Des Moine at a Hot Rod Shop to modify his transaxle. We bent an arbor while cutting the bell. I had a spare arbor and cutter with me. When we set it up we were a hair off for the finish cut. Larry needed to massage the final fit.

Larry, Nice work dude! great idea! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif)

Call me when you start bolting it up to the block. I left the lowest hole in the plate small enough to tap in threads like the factory bellhousing was. You can do it that way or drill it and thru bolt it like mine. Your choice.

Those red cam towers are HOT! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/pray.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/monkeydance.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif)
