I was wondering what difference there is between 911 rear end parts and why guys only talk about pre 74. Will they all fit on a 914? I am still planning at the moment to bolt these parts to a 901 trans. All I will need I am assuming is the early coarsed spline axle shafts and all years of 911 parts will fit. Right???

The later tophats which support the ebrake components are 5mm taller, which affects the alignment on a 914 trailing arm. You either need to shim the later tophats or the shoes will hang out of the rotor a little bit.
