Bought my first 914, a '73 2.0 appearance group car brand new in July of '73. Then my first Six was in 1980. The second Six was in about 1985 and my present (and last) Six bought in February 2010.

Owned the black '74 since new, picked it up from Downtown L.A. Porsche Audi. It had the 26 miles or so on the odometer. The bit of mileage was one of their marketing tools...as in "We test drove it in Germany".
About 50,000 actual chassis miles now. Many engine / transmission change-ups, probably 7 different air cooled in all.

How about what percentage of this time was/is your 914 on jackstands?

Konrad

I am the 3rd owner of my 73 2.0. I picked it up in October of 97; (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) I used it as a daily driver for ten years. It has spent two years in storage, and about two months on jack-stands. I have two rollers at this time also.

Bought my first 914 in 1975. Have owned four through the years. One was a factory six with flares. Built a track/street six from the ground up. Also owned a '73 911T. Now have a '75. Once had three adults and an Irish Setter in the 914 for a trip to the store. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

The conversion six..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Bought #4702903114 in July 1975 from the original owner. I still have it, and it runs as well as its 85 hp will permit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I bought #4732907267 on 8/21/96. I sold it late summer/fall of 99 to guy in Kentucky. Purchased my 1970 in 2003 and have had it ever since with a long list of parts cars and project cars.

Bought my 73' in 1986. I'm the second owner. Made a few mods over the years.
Still enjoying the adventures and friends made by owning a 914.
Cheers
