Hey Steve (nice plane),
You can get some of the parts you want from Rich Johnson, or all from Patrick Motorsports if I'm not mistaken. Even the bar. HTH |

I went with a Fluidyne cooler and *highly* recommend them.
Summit Racing for lines & fittings. Troutman for a thermostat. Rich Johnson for a front mount.....don't even think about the rest of that cra....er.....stuff......that prolly offended several folks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif) |

I agree with JP. The Fluidyne was highly recommended by the group. I bought mine from Hoerr Racing, Peoria, Il. 866 851 7223.
I chose the #DB30417, its a doubles pass, for 2x cooling. All the connectors from Summit. The only difference is Mocal Themo., it was already on the car. Where are you going to run your oil lines? |

The teener is going to be run as a 2.0 for the next season but I am acumulating parts as we will be starting as soon as the cold weather hits in fall, i want to be sure that i have all the parts and peices lined up so the car is not a jackstand-queen the following spring. so I am not sure where i am running my lines as of yet... Hope to draw as much info as i can before making descisions...
All info is much appreciated....do any Club members run at the Mission track cheers (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) steve |

You should contact Steve at AIRCOOLEDRACING.COM. His 914 was the one featured in Excellance this month. He has a new cooler for 914's and it sounds like a great one. I have bought parts from Steve and he ais great to work with and his knowledge of 914's is a great help.

I got my fiberglass two piece shroud from Getty Design. They are the only source that I know of that includes both pieces. Most places just have the shroud and not the bottom duct piece. Also beware of the quality of other sources. PMS resells the Getty two piece shroud. For the fans I just used two 12v 4" computer fans with a thermostat from Pep boys. The fans fit under the shroud and I also have a switch in the dash to force them on. I bought the oil cooler and fittings from PMS. They sell a SETRAB cooler that's small enough to fit in the shroud. The modified mazda rx-7 cooler wouldn't fit in the shroud without cutting the shroud. |
