When viewing one of the videos where a couple of guys pulled up across the street
from the wreck, I noticed alot of debris was strewn all over the street well before
the position of the car. It could have clipped something prior to the pole.
The debris from accidents always follow the momentum, unless there is more
than one event, then the pattern would look like a stack of 'V's enmanating from
each point of impact. I didn't see any tire or rim marks on the curb on any photos I've seen, either.
Paul Walker has joined James Dean in the 21st century.
~
Things like this should always be on our minds when we push the envelope, off-track.
~
Thank God they didn't take anyone else out in the process.
There was a kid in High School, in SE Florida, that took out everyone in a car,
when he drove his Corvette (that he received for graduating) through the cabin of
that car at high speed.

I'm sick of the comparisons to James Dean! Dean was NOT Driving (or riding) Recklessly, he was driving when hit by a much bigger car that ran a Stop Sign.

James Dean starred in Classic Films (Rebel without a Cause & Texas) - F&F are not Classics, if they were, they wouldn't have to make 7 of them!

Sorry, I didn't see a comparison to James Dean in those comments. Paul Walker has joined a few other actors that have died in car crashes- that's all. But, like James Dean it wasn't Walkers' fault either... I like the fact that he was a real car guy like us and he took time to give back.

That would be "East of Eden", "Giant" and "Rebel without a Cause" . What sort of old fart are you anyway? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

Is this a link? I couldn't get it to work. It seems like we need too threads. One dealing with our morbid fascination with crash physics and the other with the personal part. I don wanna do the personal part, but am very curious about how not to drive.

Thread comments that aren't spelled correctly don't generally matter... phonetically it's not making sense either- 'specially if you pronounce it Deutsche style. And speaking of- really, the Hitler reference? Wow, that's deep... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Eats of Eden is a restaurant in northern Utah, and he sounds like a Rebel without a Clue... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

But the pix do show that the front left wheel is/was bent. It had to have hit a curb somewhere before ending in it's final location.

That's a big piece to grab, but I know a lot of people that were grabbing bits and pieces right after it happened from all the debris strewn across the road.. Saw some chunks of carbon from the wreck at a shop today.. Morbid as hell, but I guess once the car is in the property of the LAPD, it's theirs...lol

Morbid fans are the worst...

What determines this kid as a morbid fan ? He's 18 y.o. and saw a chance to grab a piece of a half million dollar car. Maybe that's what it was, and not the actors connection ? Only the kid knows, and why the hell do we care ? It amazes me that this has been such a huge news story for almost a week now. In the meantime how many hundreds of thousands of other, non famous people have bit the dust ? How many hundreds of thousands of people have been beaten, tortured, overdosed, died in car wrecks etc, while " we " all jabber on about what may or may not have happened here. About how old his girlfriend may or may not be. How great of a person he was / vs. what an irresponsible dolt he was that day. this whole event has been nothing but guessing, back seat investigating and hyperbole. Go work on yer friggin cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

This is not a slam on, or related to Mr. Walker, but the media can make anyone, or anything, look good to the masses - especially when there's money involved. In most cases, it's presented as a documentary, but it's really just paid advertising.

Mark you are correct and the reason they are probably showing this is that it is currently a hot topic. Television is about ratings which is about profits.

Well at least his death is marketable. I saw a commercial yesterday where Universal is announcing they will give a portion of F&F 6 sales to Pauls charity. A whopping 2% from the article I read. Classy move (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
