New 914 owner. I need to have seat inserts replaced and want to find out where I can buy the black stuff to match the pattern (stock) on the doors of a '74. Or as close as possible. Any Ideas?

Anyone know where (if any) to source the Plaid fabric found
in 75 and 76's? I'd love the to have my 74 signal orange have a new kilt. |

Dr. Evil is Auto Atlanta.
And most people here wish they'd never found him. Paul |

Well, I guess I will chime in on this since Dr. 914 has been mentioned. Automobile Atlanta also sells door panels and seat recovering kits.
Find the seat recovering here... Door panels can be found here... We currently have a 1976 white 914 with the red plaid material original to the car. It looks great in the car. Take a look!!! The fabric is still available, but not on the cheap side. |

I just bought new tan seat coverings to re-do my '73 seats from World...cost was about $257 for both seats...I've bought from them in the past and was very happy with the product...I should get the new coverings next week, I'll post pictures of the install, heard it takes about an hour for a newbie (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smash.gif)
new door panels coverings and a new backpad covering is $310 from World....that'll be next months project |

Wow, the tan basketweave looks just like the oem stuff.
Mueller, pop for the leather seat kits! Damn, now I am really happy about the leather seats I bought! There is a site in the UK that sells the trick plaid material but I can't find the site. Geoff (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) |
