IMO the bottom of the sail panel needs to be raked down to match up with the door tops. The way it is, it just looks like someone quit trying (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Curious as to just what the hell you mean? |

Before I ever actually owned a 914, Beach Boys were building some pretty cool cars. Prior to becoming European Car, VW & Porsche magazine featured them on a couple of occasions. Their signature was raking the windshield back, which really does do wonders. I would buy this car if it did not have rust problems, and I lived in California, and I weren't replacing the hardwood floor in my basement due to a burst pipe that would have never happened if I lived in California. Nah, but you'd be dealing with droughts, quakes, hi utilities, re taxes, and senators Feinstein/ Boxer |

The discoloration for the most part is the glue used to apply some carpet kit. I removed the carpet in order to show the entire trunks and not hide anything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I remember reading an article yrs ago in VW-Porsche mag., about a 914 that had this convertible procedure done to it. Think it was done by a guy who had a body shop in San Diego; it was painted red & was a gift for his daughter, if I recall correctly. Don't remember what issue of VWP it was, but @ the time it inspired me to do this to an old beat up Dinky Toys teener I had lying around- |
