Are you thinking cut through the board just ahead of the shift boot and screw the L shaped bracket to the bottom of the board, as that was my first thought by making a metal plate for the lever to slid through and bolt up to.

I need to remove the center consoul and install the hand throttle. Cut a clean ski in the carpet. See where it interacts with the board. Drill 1/4 holes where the slit will start and stop, and probably take a dremmel toot to connect the dots making my slot. I would like to make a finished "trim ring" to make the edges nice. I'm thinking ill modify a section of engine deck lid welting seal to do so.

You can easily modify the board on the bottom, it just takes a little time and patience. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |

I like it, so it still is attached as without the console!
