New plugs, valves adjusted, oil changed, exhaust leak fixed and a full tank of gas. Ten o'clock tomorrow I have the dyno reserved. Time to put up or shut up. I think it will perform well. It is certainly equal to the way it ran before I converted it. If it performs the way I think it will Megasquirt may be a valid replacement for our old Djet systems.
When I began this, I thought that building, installing and tuning Megasquirt would be a very long and difficult experience. Getting it to run was relatively easy. Getting it to run well was more of a challenge. That has given me a healthy respect for the people who designed the old Djet. I've now been driving it for about 2 months with no problems other than tuning it to run well. No breakdowns or failures. Really looking forward to tomorrow, Dave |
