Just got a call from a woman who said her husband had died about 1/1/2 years ago, and she found my name in his phone book for 914 parts. Can't say that I remember him, CRS strikes again.

Anyway, she says he has a 914 engine in the garage and other parts. Would I like them for FREE. Just get them out of the garage. At first she said it was a 911 engine, then not sure. Also said it was a spare that ran.

Anyway, I'm going over to look at it this afternoon. Right now, I'm going to assume that it's probably a 4. If it's a 6, then the problems start, because I'm gonna want to keep it, and the only place I have to store it,is the Kitchen, lol, coffee table?

I'll take my camera and post some pictures when I get back.

If it's a 4, who needs a spare? The price will remain as FREE. If it's a 6 and I come to my sences, it might go for FREE too.

Talk to you later, Don

Has anyone recently shipped an engine across country? How much does that cost?

Hey Cloud,
I didn't notice that you lived in SD. Didn't you tell me that you had some interior core pieces? I am in the market if you do.

Don and I are gonna take a look at it around 12.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) I am so lucky that I have today off and Don lives three blocks from me. Too bad his camera is crapping out and mine sucks. It is soo nice to have time to do 914 stuff again. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif)

Among the score was the exact engine that you just describe, Aaron. You may come down and pick it up now.

Brando, do you still need a rear caliper? I have one with a few rebuild kits...

More to come.
