Well, this the weekend I've been waiting for for over 6 months, putting paint back on the car. I put plastic sheet on the exposed walls of the carport to creat a paint booth. I then taped up the car's exterior panels, except the front trunk and front fenders.

Just to get everyone up to speed, I have stripped the paint from the engine compartment, after replacing the right suspension ear and the engine shelf on that side. I also removed the back pad and glue. I then removed the tar from the passenger compartment floor, the glue behind the back pad, then the seam-sealer and all of the paint. Finally, I removed the seam-sealer and all of the paint from the rear trunk.

Here's a shot of the outside, before painting.

Here's the passenger compartment. I bought some wiring looms to wrap around the wires to keep them from being painted and to help hold them out of the way.

Here's a shot after the etch primer, then the next 2 coats of primer had been applied.

I want to come by next weekend to get a pic and some measurements for your roll-around engine stand, my brother-in-law is going to build one for me. I need it before I pick up the engine from Joe at the end of the month....

I also want to see the last of the 914...

Less is FASTER.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif) and so is RED....... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rocking nana.gif)

Jeroen, I'm enjoying a martuni now...

I refuse to come down with DWD, I'm going to complete this project and get it back on the road by my birthday in June... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif)
