Need new ones, does anyone redo these? Thought I saw something on that a while ago. Pelican is listing them but out of stock. Nice to have heat where I live!

If you have a welder you can order cheap new ones for a VW bus, from JC Whitney. Grind off the weld on top of the control arm, spin it 145 degrees & weld it back in the new, correct place. Blue tape is @ 145 degrees from the current position of the arm.

You can order 2 new ones from Whitney, mark them where they need to go & then either grind off the weld yourself or have it done @ the shop where you take it to be re-welded. It's a simple spot weld or 2 & would take 10 minutes for both. Originals & the ones for the bus are both manufactured by Dansk & the only difference is the price & where the arm is welded. |
