I am contemplating buying a 901 to hold me through till I can get a 915 and slap a sideshifter on it.
The trans I have now has a busted bell housing(dunno how that happened) and about all the synchros are like oatmeal but I can still manage it into all gears. I am thinking that I could buy a cheap 901 and slap it in and go but one never knows what the hell is wrong with a trans that you havent actually driven. Is there any thing to look for if you pull the covers or am I just wishful thinking? TIA -Kelly |
