The 914 isn't a real Porsche (NARP)!

People in PCA look down their noses at 914"s.

Woe is me, the 914 is the redheaded stepchild of the Porsche world.

If I drive my 914 today, it won't leave me stranded on the side of the road.

Any Porsche is worth 20k. It's a classic & doesn't matter if it's about to fold in half. They are rare (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

1. I know that if I read enough threads on how to trouble shoot the FI system on my car..I will get better at it.
2. I think it is the CHT.
3. Carburetors must work better than my FI system, they are so much easier to troubleshoot.

wonderful idea of a thread btw

That's not an oil leak. It is just a minor seep........

After completing a repair for the first time, looking over the extra parts or bolts.... I just world more efficiently than the orginal German engineer that designed the car.

I keep thinking I'll someday put it together and get it running as well as it should....

It must be the ECU when:
...The engine is pretty rough when cold...
...The engine does not work when hot...
...my '76 wont a pass smog test...
...only fuel on cyls 2&4 work...
...only fuel on cyls 1&2 work...
...the black/purple coil wire melts...
...I get bucking at ~3,000 RPM...
...my AFR is so rich that the engine does not start...
...only 3 out 4 injectors squirt into a jar...
...I have fuel pressure, but none of the injectors squirt...
...I have no fuel pressure...

I just keep buying and throwing the receipts in a folder NEVER to be looked at again. Not knowing the true cost is the best.
