We should pick a time and place to all meet up.

How about High Noon at the Beer Tent?

Works for me. I'm volunteering to help from 9am-12pm.

So the fact you volunteered is a good reason to have a beer at Noon at the Bier Tent!

Mike, So far from the posts on this thread to meet up @ Noon, it's just you and me.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I'll be the one drinking a beer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

I hope to meet up with you for the caravan or will meet you there if I sleep in. I'm driving the Lincoln LS since the 914 battery is still an issue.

Jeff, I'll be gassed up, at Starbucks at 5am to grab a cup and be ready to go. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

There is a slim chance another 914-6 will be there (Silver, marked 53). I invited him but be may go early.

Jeff Bowlsby's excellent Bumblebee. Many points were deducted for ratty wiring harnesses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) I handn't seen Jeff in about nine years. Neither one of has changed. (much). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

This is a great weekend for car buffs. I went to Monterey on Thursday and stopped by to see the cars at the Russso Steele auction at Fishermans Wharf. I have never seen so many high dollar cars. MEGA bucks!! Friday was the WERKS reunion and historics Sat. and Sun. Here's a few more pics from WERKS reunion.

Okay, here are some of mine. You know me and pictures ... prepare to be inundated ...

I want to thank Jeff Bowlsby for organizing the caravan down to the event. I believe we had six or seven 914's in our caravan. We had a safe, albeit wet, run over Highway 17, and then down Highway 1 to Monterey.

The Werks Reunion was centered around the lunch tent / beergarten. Cars radiated out from the tent, like the ripples in water. Four cars were given special treatment, based on each one's age and historical significance.

This one-of-a-kind steel bodied American Roadster from 1952 was, I believe, the oldest car there.

Only 253 Rometsch Beeskow's were produced from 1950-1957 (I looked it up).
Attached Image

The Seinfeld Collection brought two cars to the event. First is the last 356 ever made, in June of 1966, for the Dutch police force.

And here is the first 911 ever made, shown originally at the 1964 New York World's Fair.
