Hey guys! New to 914world! I just picked my first 914 yesterday. My dad just finished restoring a 74' 2.0 and has inspired me to get one. Im 18 and I have owned several water cooled 70's Volkswagen so I thought I'd try my luck on some air cooled.
Its a 74' big bore 2.0 with steel flares slotted rotors and some other goodies. Should be a fun little project. Its running rich though and it dies when warm and is very difficult to start when it does die warm. From my research it seems to be vacuum related either with the aar valve or the head temp sensor. Im going to start by replacing the vacuum lines and go from there. Any advice is appreciated! Attached thumbnail(s) |
