Thanks Seanery for taking pictures. Next year let us (SMOG guys) know your in town & we can make it a 914 gathering. Everyone likes the Z06 Corvette, it rocks. Cheap ($50 big ones) pleasure and a beautiful ride. GM has it right on this one. The Pontiac roadster also looks good.
I probably will not attend this yrs. show. Been out of town all week & were having 12" of snow today. The great thing about living in SouthEast MI. Metro area, gets me into the plants on my regular work (business). I will get into the plants where they build the Pontiac roadster along with the Mustang plant. I will try to take my camera with me (if permited) for pictures during the year.

Tom
FYI
Michigan is a great place, but Detroit is an embarrassment. I hate to even mention the name "Detroit" it's the pits. They are trying to clean it up for next years 2006 superbowl. What a joke!!

Is the Solstice/Sky based on the Lotus developed Opel Speester chassis? I thought I remembered reading that they were planning on trying to use it. It oughta be interesting to see how well it performs. I like that Saturn Sky a lot more than my SL1... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Thanks for the pics, looks great. How was the 911 cabrio in person. Now that the Cabrio and the Boxster shre the same windsheild heights there is ven less to distinguish them. Just the J-Lo rump and 100 more HP (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

Great pics Sean (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif)

I have to agree with you about Detroit. Of all the US citys I have visited it's the scarriest. The downtown area emptys at 6 pm. Buildings with trees growing thru the middle. The car rental place told me to drive with my doors locked at all times. Leave space between myself and the car in front at lights and if anyone approches from the side to drive thru (lots of car jacking at that time). You go from the Grosse Point area (nice big homes with well manicured lawns) to towards downtown and it looks like your heading into Beruit. They are going to have to spend a ton of $$ to clean it up.

Bruce,
You put it very well Detroit is a cease pool of crime, corruption with a hip-hop mayor with his gang of body guards. He can't manage his own life & thinks he runs a third world country. That being said the metro area around Detroit is very affluenct with all the good stuff & good people. Think of Detroit metro area like a big donut with all the trash in the donut hole. I can't imagine why General Motors moved their corporate headquarters from the burbs to downtown Detroit. I believe GM will go down the tubes with Detroit (long term). Note: As soon a Chrylser moved to the burbs (auburn Hills) their fortune changed. They are now looking like the big three leader. As for Ford Motor they are on the fringe of Detroit. I like Ford Motor & feel they are well run and will always be a strong big three car company.
Just my humble 2-cents worth of Big Three stuff.

Tom
BTW
Any supplier of parts & services doing business with the city of Detroit have them on COD. They don't pay their bills. They have small brokers (with ties to city govt.) handling the business orders because they have good credit. You know they have sweet heart deals with mark-ups. Again, Detroit is the pits, the burbs are not.

the cab looks good in person, even with the newer curvy body panels I'd say the styling is definitely evolutionary and not revolutionary...it just looks like a nice 911 cab, know what I mean?
