I have a 1972 1.7. Pulled the engine to fix a few things.
Replaced... Front crank seal. Rear main seal. Clutch push rod tube seals. valve cover gaskets. oil cooler seals. oil pressure sender. I still have a oil leak. Oil drips off the bottom off the fan housing. So I pulled the fan back off to check the front seal.( engine still in the car) The back of the fan is not oily. Where else can it come from? Can I run the engine for a short time without the fan on to look for the leak, without hurting anything? Thanks for the help...... |
