I assume the oil light comes on when the oil level gets low, thus the light comes on for a few seconds after cornering hard, then goes off. Just want some affirmation from the group if this is correct.

Have you checked the oil level? Many of us run a half-quart over, but if you're cornering hard enough, that is not enough to keep the light off.
I have a "tuna can" oil trap, and it has worked well for me. There are also larger deep sumps that can help. Or you can get an oil pressure accumulator like an Accusump. Or you can convert over to a full dry-sump setup. --DD |
