I've been talking with a few people about the lack of progress on any of my cars. I have a buddy who has a Cadillac project that he's been storing for over 10 years. So we were comparing experiences and both decided the purging the excess projects is the only responsible thing to do. I have 4 914 projects a BMW 2002 project and my wife's 912 project. I've realized that I'll be more effective if I have only one project at a time.

It's been an extremely hard decision, but I know I'm making the right move. I'm actually excited about working on my gold car and building up the 2.4 twin turbo engine for that.

I wanted to post something because I will be posting these extra cars up on the site and didn't want people to think I was disappearing.

Here's the projects I started that are unfortunately getting the axe:
73 Marathon Blue Metallic
72 Aubergine (Factory Custom)
2270 Turbo Engine Build
73 BMW 2002

I know what one is facing and how hard it is to eliminate projects. Sometimes feels like "failure" on my part for not completing the projects, moving back and forth on the projects (not getting anything completed), etc. What I use to get done on handling several projects at once is no longer accomplished.

With time, I have slowed down and am thinking about eliminating several projects. The Jeep, Alfa Romeo, and Corvette will be eliminated thus reducing my total cars from five to two, and then adding a third car for my wife. I need to clean up commentments and make life simpler.

I am working on the Alfa to get in long distance driving condition and then drive it to Kansas giving it to my nephew; The Corvette will be sold/traded in; the Jeep sold; and the Porsche 914-sizer will be kept for completion and driving enjoyment.

In the end, I should have my Pickup, Trailer, Porsche, and my wife's driver.
This makes like very simple. Any more cars to be added will be with the elimination of the present ones owned. I love projects but it has come to my time in life where I have to make things simple and easily maintained.

I now want to drive and enjoy rather than have continuous projects to be completed.
