The point being made is that to call this your "build" is a stretch.
The car was 80-90% done when you bought it... in any event, the car looks beautiful and the work you did got it back on the road. We've all gotta start somewhere... keep it up!!! |

We've all gotta start somewhere... keep it up!!! Oh, I get it. It was 80-90% done! That’s funny. If it really was 80-90% done that would have been very nice, but anyone who has put together a conversion car, the percentages can go down with issues that pop up. I should have done a better job of posting more, but there you go.... I want to build a B-24 themed 914 as a tribute to veterans and my Dad. Been searching for a donor car for awhile and may have found a good candidate. Cheers! |

God I hate getting old ... I can't remember his screen name (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) ... but he built a military aircraft themed green 914 several years ago.
I'm sure someone will remember it. |

Not THOMAS. The car was Olive Drab/Army green with black accents and NACA ducts in the hood (IIRC). IIRC, that's the V8 with a Mendeola gearbox? That was on the Pelican Racing BBS for a while. Don't remember if he made it here or not. Oh, I get it. It was 80-90% done! That’s funny. Of course it was 90% done! Of course, then you have to do the next 90% of the work, and then that leaves only 90% of the work to go.... --DD |

Still working on my 90% done car.
Newer battery is putting out 16+ volts at rest. Took it for a drive and the stock volt meter is pegged at 12 until I use any light. Headlights on pegs it to the left. Battery lasts about a week before its drained. |

Wow. That is cool. I had a different concept, but have given up on it. The rock bands are taking all my time now. |
