That's our kit which requires the stock six hard line. If you don't want to go that route, we can send you a set with a long soft line that replaces the hard line and short soft line for the feed line. PM me or Jonathan for price.

With this setup, you need to carefully route and mount the soft line away from the HE or header.

Brian is it this hose you are talking about for substituting the hose and hardline?

Mark...that is the one....the early SWB 911 68< used this "soft" line...it went up and over the tranny from the engine to the tank...here is a pic of where someone made one....it's #17 in the diagram.....that was used until the #18 version
I've dismantled a few early 911 that had them and various shop made versions and some out of AN fittings and SS hose....never tried to use one on a 914-6...not sure about the length of it to the 914-6 tank....should work just like on 911...keep away from HEs....
