Need to replace my 17-year-old rubber after reawakening my 914-6. Any ideas for 14" tires with the approximately 25" height of the original 185X14 size. Ideally would like at least an S speed rating. Stock fender lips.
Looks like BFG TAs in 205X70X14 are closest to what I want and I've run Comp TAs in that size long ago. But I'm certain some of you have been down this road more recently and may have better ideas. Not interested in changing wheels. Thanks... Jim |

Vredestien makes a number of 14" sizes in their Sprint Classic line:
165 HR 14 84 H 175 HR 14 88 H 185 HR 14 90 H 195/70 VR 14 91 V 205/70 VR 14 95 V Coker has them for about $150 each (+ or -), while it looks like you may be able to get them for about $100 if you search around carefully. Note that a few modern touring tires are available in 185/70-14 as well. --DD |
