For those of you who are more familiar with the DMV and its in and outs...

I have a 71 914 that hasn't been registered since 1998 (says expires 1999, so that means 1998 I think). Does anyone know when/if cars fall out of the DMV system and you don't have to pay all the back fees? I went in a talked with the local DMV a year ago and it was still in the system.

Yeah. I argee with the othe post it takes a hell of a long time. My teacher go lucky and know a DMV person and they were able to move things around for him. Other wise he would have had to pay out of his a$$ and bow he just has to pay $45-60.
