Interesting! Or maybe it's closed for voting now?
I thought someone said the voting was over at 12noon
on Valentine's Day (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

It was over at noon our time. Something is a little fishy. The other couple was going up by 50+ in under 4 minutes at 1am our time ??? 100's and 100's of votes where going their way at 2 and 3am in the morning.

It appears a local TV station might get a good story out of this.

It also appears the other couple recieved over 200 votes in the last 3 minutes ?

Ok, What just happened? I hit reply and got this message:
Mail Error!

SMTP protocol failure!
Host: mail.914world.com
Return Code: 500
Return Msg: 500 failed authentication
Invision Power Board Error: Username not accepted from the server
Check your SMTP settings from the admin control panel

Then I hit back and tried it again and it worked. What is going on? That is the second time it has happened since the server came back up.

Fishy?? Doesn't really sound or look fishy...just looks like the other couple did what Birgit did and enlisted total strangers to vote. They just had a 'bar crowd' to do it.

Good fun....

Will you be posting the final results?

Well it appears that there was something fishy going on in the end and even though the other couple got 200 extra votes in the last 3 minutes
Mary and Minh got into the finals by winning this round

Mary signed up on the board today, so we should be hearing from her soon.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/monkeydance.gif) I bet after the voting ended, they sorted out the multi votes form the same IP address. The rules said if multiple votes came from the same address, ALL votes from that address would be DQ'd. So, us good honest porch owner wannabees prevailed in the end. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Congrats Mary & Mihn. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) I'm gonna need some advanced notice on the wedding date so I can get cheaper air fare. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/w00t.gif)

Oh boy, where do we start??? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

First of all, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)
for all of your immense support, time and dedication in helping us get
to the finals of the Wedding Giveaway. There is no doubt that the
914club’s support pushed us over the edge and into the final round of
voting. Minh and I (Mary) watched you guys and gals kick ass when we needed
your help. THANK YOU! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/pray.gif)

Most of you knew that there would be a second round of voting, this is
where a monkey wrench was thrown into the mix. Since something fishy
was going on (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) , with the competing couple during the voting process,
the radio station has decided to change the voting procedure. Now they
are asking:

To vote for one of our finalists, click here and send an Email ...

and be sure to include the following (failure to do so will result in
the vote not counting!):

• The Entire Name of the Couple You are Voting For (i.e. Mary & Minh)
• First Name
• Last Name
• Phone Number
• City and State
• Age (You must be 13 years or older to vote!)

One vote per person. Duplicate votes will be disqualified. Final tally
will be taken once voting has ended.
Winner will be announce on King Raffi's show, Tuesday, February 22,
2005.
Voting will end on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 12:00 Noon PST.
Incomplete entries will be discarded.

We know that this is asking A WHOLE LOT but we will be forever indebted
to all of you if you could help us out on this final stretch. “We may
have to volunteer to help Howard at the WCC 2005.” As Birgit put it
“this is much less painful than replacing our rusted out battery tray, we
all know so much about in our 914s.” Right?????????? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/pray.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/grouphug.gif)

Done.. it is fairly painless.

The radio station is *trying* to make damn sure this last voting round is not tampered with. I know it is a lot to ask.. name/phone/address/city/state..blah blah... I would really like to see them win (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif)
