It's time I change out my tires- they are 28 years old. I'm live'n dangerously! haven't driven my car much since the complete rebuild in 1988. Last spring I was invited to drive my car a few laps during the festival of speed weekend, got back to the timeline display and had an oh S%#@! moment.
I have 205/55/16" which is close to the 25" (24.9")standard stock tire diameter of these cars but i'm thinking of going to 205/50's as I think i'd like a lower profile look. The 205/50's spec out at 24.1" Those who are running 16's give me your tire size and your opinion of course. |

What size wheels can I fit? Group: Members Posts: 4,645 Joined: 5-April 05 From: Scottsdale, AZ Member No.: 3,881 Region Association: Southwest Region |
Before I went to 7's & 8's, I ran 205/50's on my 16x6's. Here is what they looked like. I loved the look but the smaller diameter obviously bumped my RPM's up a bit.

I'm running 205/55-16's. Speedo is accurate and engine revs reasonable.
