Just got a picture from my painter! He just finished with the clear. Not sure when I'm picking it up yet. Just hoping the match is close enough it isn't obvious the one side was done. Won't know until later this week. Still good to see (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hi Jamie, so the Porsche stripe decal was in place before the clear coat? Your car looks better already before it was crash last March, but now after that repair and minor repainting it looks perfect! Next Car of the Month.... or is it been a car of the month before?

Yeah this particular paint is more a 3 stage. After primer it get's a coat of Silver. After the silver was done Dean put the decal on. Then came the synergy green metallic. Then decal was removed & clear was done. For my repair we did the Silver from the top line of the decal up. So below the top decal line is still original. The top line is new silver. Then a coat of synergy green metallic. Then the clear.

While the guy does good work. There is no guarantee on the match. It will be close he says but not exact. Only way to get exact is to redo the whole car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . If only Rick or Scotty were closer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

It'll be great Jamie. Don't worry about it. You can't look at both sides at the same time. Paint turned out SWEET! When's the turbo engine going in?????

Hell I've had enough trouble keeping it going as is. I'm just going to lick my wounds for a while & be happy with it. Only plans I have now are for the A/C. Well & finish my interior center console stuff. Which will involve new carpet too. I'm not touching the motor/tranny combo for at least a year unless something breaks. Okay I do have a small oil leak to fix. So after that I'm not touching it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Got a little done tonight. Installed front bumper, Front turn signal bucket, Drivers door seals, outside door handle, door panel & interior parts. Been a long day so inside relaxing now. Tomorrow I'll get the rear bumper & tailight on. Then take it for a drive & take some pics. After that I'll start playing with my new center console. Or at least the first try. Think I'm going to make more adjustments & build another but probably not before Red Rocks. So sorry no more pics today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
