Mark,

What advantages will your product have over the A&P dash?

I have one of them new in a box and am trying to decide which one to install on which vehicle. I have been waiting to install yours on my near concours '72 which is in final restoration stage - interior is next.

Thanks as always for great products.

The A&P dash is recovered with an aftermarket vinyl that will have the same issues over time in the corners and as the substructure is different can de-laminate.

The only potential drawback with mine is that dash is a late style, so the glove box area is slightly wider. I have heard that it may not be an issue, but to be sure I have a 70 standing by to test fit and verify if there are any issues.

The tool is done. We are going to start running material through it tomorrow. We have to "pressure" test it it and confirm flow rates, temps and a few other variables. Hope to have something to show tomorrow, or worst case Thursday. Depends on how things go tomorrow. This is the big step, if this works and I'm happy we will open the doors up as we will start to ramp up production, and open up the group buy. Thanks Mark - I will wait for your new improved version to put on my '72 as that car is a keeper.

Good luck with the test flight!

So who's game?

I don't know if I signed up. Or if I am too late. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I can send money for two dashes one a 72 and one a 76. Just tell me when.

Thanks all, I'm updating the thread to show you what it looks like. I'm VERY happy with the results. We have only got our 1st plug out of the mold, but it's great! This is what we got done today about noon. the dash has no metal in it yet we are just trying to see how it heats and where we need more venting. This is not even fully cured, but I couldn't resist playing with it.

So I ran out to a 70 car to lay it on and see how well it fits.

Anyone want to guess the OEM dash? These look even better in sunlight

For those interested in the Early vs Late "issue". It's not really noticeable. You can see the pivot point of the glove box makes it so the door opens up almost unrestricted. It may limit travel slightly once it's bolted down, but it may not. I'll have to recheck once the metal is cast in.

The only area we need to point out that is different than the OEM is the bottom part line. It is hidden under the hood and is not seen while seated. It is there so I need to point it out for all so there are no surprises.

We haven't trimmed this line as there was very little flash on this seam.

The "bubbles" us see on the lower right corner (even though it's on the under side), will not be in the final product. This is part of the process we are working out still. We need to add vent holes and many need to do a few more once we get the 1st one with the metal in it. So we are still tweeking it, but this is the final stages.

If it's not too late to jump in on this, I'd love one for my 73. Thanks
