Anyone know how much a 914 engine weighs? this is a 2.0 engine with no transmission no heat exchangers or exhaust. it does have all sheet metal fan, fan housing and fuel injection.

I thought my manual said 300 lbs. Never had one on a scale.

A friend and I just recently picked one up fairly easily.
So I'd say the 250-300 lb figure is on the mark.

But DONT question that number.

But euro911 built a crate that weighs negative pounds, so if you want the engine to weigh 250, you need to build one of those.
