Hi guys,
Going to the dark side. I've decided I want a six. Would like to purchase a good condition 2.4L six or 3.0 Could be from 911 E,T or SC Just putting feelers out here. Would prefer complete motor with carbs. But a nice running Fuel inj. wouldn't be excluded. I know prices are all over the map. So I don't have a set price. It obviously depends on motor/situation. I live in PA. Please pm me with any info. I would be keeping the 901 trans. as it has been recently overhauled. Thanks everyone. Cheers,Dion |

Wha!!!! Taking out that nice running CIS motor? I'm moving in that direction too. If interested, check out my blog: type 47's blog. The 69 T engine (2L) is completely disassembled and the case is in for measurement. Do you want to build a motor?

What is your budget? Ahhhh. Yeah still working those numbers to see where I'm going to be at. I know the $ will be up as the more and fresh the motor will be. Heheh yes Jim, Dave is a bad influence. But I'm trying ( in my mind) to capture that rally car vibe of the 70's with a strong 2.4L for long distance runs and rallies. |

Don't forget springs, shock valving, chassis stiffening and tires.

I’ve got one but you would not like the price, 2.4 alum case, pauter rods, 964 oil pump, head work, twin plugged, blah blah bah.
What springs are recommended when you go to a six? |

For a street car I'd start with 19mm torsion bars and 200 pound rear springs. Adjustable front anti-roll bar to tune.

Hhmmm. I'm interested in knowing why you skipped over the 2.7?

Yep, that is a nice mild build. Should go for over $20K, I would think.

They are commanding a premium right now. If I add all the parts to make a nice 2.7 starting with basic case and add the necessary bits, well... I've seen a nice completed one for 25K. I still need other bits. |
