Its been a while since I started replacing the vacuum lines on my 74 1.8.
So now that I'm back at it I'm wondering if I have the section from the air filter (upper part of throttle body?) to the Y then down to the Aux Air Regulator done correctly.

Why is there a metal sleeve before the auxiliary air regulator? Why not one piece of hose from the Y down to the Regulator?

When I look online at Peter Klager's layout, his diagram does not show that metal sleeve.

Did a prior owner do this or is this correct from the factory?

If I'm not mistaken, there is a rubber elbow used there. 022.129.637 from the PET

Or possibly 021.129.639 could be used

Wow! You're so right. I have to admit of my blunder here. I have two elbows on the way from another forumite and totally forgot.
Thats a little scary.

Thanks.
