Jim passed last night and will be missed. Here is a picture of Jim and Rod, at Rod's shop, working on my 1.8L engine, from about 1 month ago.

I didn't know about Jim's passing until today. What an awful shock. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Jim was a hell of a nice guy, and in a very large part responsible for my entry into the world of Porsche 914's. It all began when my excited friend Caroline called me and told me that she had bought a little white convertible named "Babydoll" from a gentleman in Vienna, who lived not too far from her house. Jim provided endless tech support and maintenance ideas to Caroline and to me, which came in handy as I ended up becoming the primary mechanic on the car. I am not 100 percent sure of this, but Jim may also have originally named "Babydoll." RIP Jim, you will be missed. |
